01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Koji was a link-in-bio platform for creators, launched in March 2021 by parent company GoMeta. It offered hundreds of free mini-apps - tip jars, video requests, NFT minting, email capture, ad sales - that creators could attach to a single koji.to profile link. Earlier, Koji was an app-development platform letting non-technical developers make 'mini apps on the web', later turned into templates. GoMeta was founded in 2016 by Dmitry Shapiro (Veoh founder, former Google product manager, former MySpace CTO) and Sean Thielen; the company raised $36 million in total.
