01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Readmill was a Berlin-based social e-reading startup founded in 2010 by Henrik Berggren and David Kjelkerud. Its iOS and Android app offered a beautifully designed eBook reader with a social layer: users could buy eBooks from publishers such as Penguin, highlight passages, take notes, mention friends with Twitter-style @-mentions to start conversations in the margins, upload ePubs via the web and sync their library across devices.
