Alle App
The business, the turning points, and the decisions behind them.
01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Alle was an Indian AI fashion-stylist startup founded in January 2023 by former Meesho executives Prateek Agarwal, Harshit Madan and Pavan Patil. It offered Gen Z shoppers a conversational AI stylist: describe an occasion, mood or style in chat and get curated outfit recommendations, aggregated from more than 1,000 brands on one platform. Backed by Elevation Capital with $3 million in seed funding, it claimed over 1.5 million Gen Z users.
02 / Alle App FAILURE REASONS
Failure reasons
Alle never found product-market fit: over 2.5 years the team pivoted six times without discovering an opportunity where product-market fit and a viable business model came together. Early traction never converted into engagement, retention or unit economics that justified continued investment, and the app was quietly delisted months before the end. Co-founder Prateek Agarwal said the team's time was better spent elsewhere; closure was decided in October 2025 and announced in January 2026.
