01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
LifeForce Games was a San Diego-based blockchain video game development studio founded in 2021 by Ryan Inman (Boomer) and Catherine Carroll (Satsuma), leaders of what was described as the world's largest metaverse development team. The team of gaming and blockchain veterans (from EA, Daybreak, Amazon, Sony PlayStation and Sony Online Entertainment) set out to make play-and-earn blockchain games that are actually fun and accessible: a portfolio of titles connected through a gaming-focused metaverse, plus a no-code UGC gaming platform (metaverse-as-a-service) letting players and studios build content without owning crypto upfront, with interoperable NFTs across games.
