01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Skry (originally Coinalytics) was a Palo Alto blockchain analytics company founded in 2014 by Fabio Federici, Bill Gleim and James Edwards. Pitching itself as the 'Bloomberg for Bitcoin,' it built real-time analytics on blockchain and cryptocurrency data for traders, investors, banks and law enforcement—merging blockchain, big data and AI into an enterprise platform for compliance, anti-money laundering and business intelligence. It raised about $1.3 million in seed funding from The Hive and 500 Startups and rebranded from Coinalytics to Skry in April 2016.
