What the company did
Derisk is a Seattle-based crypto custody infrastructure startup founded in 2022 by former Meta employees from the Facebook Novi Wallet team, and backed by Y Combinator's Summer 2022 batch. It uses multi-party computation (MPC) cryptography to help Web3 companies shard, protect, monitor and manage private keys, improving the security of digital asset storage, protection and movement. The company raised about $1.02 million in a pre-seed round in October 2022 from Lombardstreet Ventures, Pioneer Fund, Stonks, Xoogler and angel investors including executives from Brigit and Strikingly.
