01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Lampoo was a Milan, Italy-based luxury resale platform founded in 2019 - a one-of-a-kind marketplace for authenticated second-hand luxury clothing and accessories from brands such as Dior, Chanel, Balenciaga and Gucci. It combined online consignment with physical stores: its first boutique opened in Milan's Brera district in 2020, followed by a flagship two-floor store on London's King's Road (Chelsea) in 2022. It raised EUR 6 million from a syndicate of angel investors and reached Series A stage with $12.6 million total funding.
