01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Phantasia Sports was a Chicago-based blockchain fantasy sports platform built on Solana. Users created or joined public and private fantasy leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, EPL, cricket) competing peer-to-peer rather than against a house, earning the FANT token and NFTs for wins. Club owners ran leagues with analytics, chat and customisation; the FANT token also governed the Phantasia DAO. It raised $1.85 million in a November 2021 seed round from Alameda Research, CMS Holdings, GSR and Sino Global Capital, launched mainnet in 2022 with paid contests and staking, and had a built-in NFT shop.
