What the company did
Bebida na Porta was a Brazilian beverage-delivery startup founded in 2018 by Jéssica Modernel Mihalyi Gordon (later joined by Daniel da Silveira Franco). Built on a dark-store model - stores closed to the public and optimized purely for delivery - it promised beverages and complementary items (ice, charcoal, snacks) delivered in up to 15 minutes, arriving cold. After a difficult start, including nearly R$100,000 lost to payment fraud and chargebacks on its own website, the company grew through a strategic partnership with iFood, expanding to several stores in São Paulo and the ABC region with dozens of employees.
