01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Cufflink.io was a data-privacy and cyber-security company based at M-SParc (Menai Science Park) on Anglesey, Wales, co-founded in 2018 by Billy Williams and Boris Grekov. It built a free consumer app that stored and encrypted personal data on the user's own device, letting owners control what they shared with friends and family or licensed to companies. Alongside the app it offered a corporate SaaS product that gave organisations a more secure and compliant way to manage customer contact data, using patent-pending distributed-ledger and encryption technology.
