01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Dimenco was a Dutch display-technology company spun out of Philips in 2010 by four former Philips engineers. It built glasses-free 3D displays using lenticular lens technology, later rebranded as Simulated Reality, first for 3D televisions and later for professional uses such as medical imaging, Windows laptops and monitors. China-based Kangdexin (KDX) took a controlling stake in 2015; management later bought the company back into Dutch hands. In August 2023 Leia Inc. acquired Dimenco and began winding down the Dimenco brand in favor of Leia.
