05 / AFTERMATH

Aftermath and lessons

PowerReviews survived as a product brand rather than dying as a failed company. Its acquisition became a landmark antitrust case: the DOJ successfully challenged Bazaarvoice's buyout, making it a textbook example of tech mergers harming competition. The brand continues today within 1WorldSync/Syndigo's product-content platform.
