01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Coco Controller, made by Milkshake Labs, was a slide-on game controller case for smartphones created by Harvard dropouts Connor Zwick and Colton Gyulay in Y Combinator's Summer 2012 batch. It packed an analog stick, a D-pad and a six-button PSP-style layout into a case that connected through the phone's audio jack - requiring no syncing, software or battery - and was compatible with iPhones, the Samsung Galaxy S III and, via an adapter, the iPad.
