01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Seervision AG was a Swiss company and industry pioneer in AI-driven camera automation software, with roots at ETH Zurich where students had developed a prototype for recording lectures. Co-founded and led by CEO Nikos Kariotoglou, its software combined multi-camera control research with real-time optimization, machine learning and predictive motion models to automatically predict and track a person's movements. It could control multiple pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras from one PC with smooth, broadcast-quality motions rivaling human operators, and integrated into existing AV/IT ecosystems with audio- and vision-based scene perception and person identification. The software served hybrid learning and high-impact corporate collaboration spaces, letting one person operate the entire video recording for events from sports to business presentations.
