01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Pantheon (joinpantheon.io) was a San Francisco edtech startup in Y Combinator's Winter 2020 batch, founded in 2020 by Ali Ahmed and Akshath Sivaprasad. It was an online competitive community for the brightest middle- and high-school students: students matched by skill level and competed head-to-head in real time, answering tough time-based quiz questions like in Science Bowl or the UK's University Challenge, climbing a leaderboard while also meeting like-minded students and getting discovered by colleges and companies.
