What the company did
CareerTu (职图) was an online school for in-demand digital skills, founded in New York in 2018 by Ruiwan Xu, a former Amazon product marketing manager. Accepted into Y Combinator, it taught digital marketing, data analytics and product design through capstone projects built around real business problems, targeting Chinese-speaking learners aiming at tech and new-retail jobs in China and the US. It reported roughly 200,000 users and 500 recruiting partners, saying over 250 companies — including Google, Facebook, Amazon, Alibaba and Tencent — had hired its graduates; Xu was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2020.
