01 / WHAT IT BUILT

What the company did

Cyberjobs was a French recruitment platform based in Caen, Normandy, dedicated exclusively to cybersecurity careers. Launched in 2018 by the founders of Eden Forums, Ritchy Cohen and David Berenfus, it combined a job board, a CV database and employer-branding pages so cybersecurity employers could source candidates directly. It listed hundreds of open positions from companies such as Thales, Airbus, Accenture, EDF and BNP Paribas, claimed more than 10,000 registered candidates, and partnered with industry group Hexatrust on a shared job board and CV library. The startup raised 900,000 euros to accelerate its growth in France.

02 / Cyberjobs FAILURE REASONS

Failure reasons

No public disclosure of the reasons behind Cyberjobs' collapse has been found. What is documented is the legal sequence: after a safeguard proceeding opened in October 2024, the company entered judicial recovery in January 2025 and was placed in judicial liquidation in April 2025, indicating it could not restore solvency or attract a buyer. The 900,000-euro fundraising did not prove sufficient to build a self-sustaining business.
