01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
ProfessorBob.ai was a Paris-based edtech startup founded by Francois-Xavier Hussherr. It built an AI-powered virtual teaching assistant designed to personalize learning for students in high schools, colleges, universities and professional training, claiming students learn twice as fast and retain three times better. The deep-learning platform asked and answered questions, adapting to each learner's level to prevent dropout. It collaborated with the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Digital Sciences (LISN) at Universite Paris-Saclay on language processing, and raised about $4 million. Its website now serves a default server page, suggesting the company is no longer operating.
