01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Bird Office was a Paris startup founded in 2013 by Arnaud Katz, offering a digital platform for booking temporary office space, meeting rooms and corporate events. Companies could rent rooms for meetings, seminars, training sessions and conferences from a network of more than 6,500 bookable venues across France, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg - hotels and business centres supplying unused rooms - with instant availability and pricing online, automated contracts, insurance and invoicing, plus catering and other ancillary services. It raised about $10.2 million from investors including CapHorn Invest and BNP Paribas Développement. In May 2022 it merged with its competitor Kactus, creating the reference digital platform for B2B events in France.
