Habx (Acquired in Distress)
The business, the turning points, and the decisions behind them.
01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Habx, launched in January 2016 by founder and president Benjamin Delaux, was a French proptech startup: a digital platform that let future homeowners co-design their new homes. Its algorithms matched buyers' needs (location, budget, commute, amenities) with developers' production capacity, letting households define their apartment's layout and features before construction. In February 2018 it raised 10 million euros from Xange and Idinvest to reinvent the design and commercialization of new homes, having earlier raised 3.5 million euros.
