What the company did
GuruCall, founded in Madrid in 2020 by Jose Manuel Peral Cortes and Juan Varela de Limia, was an on-demand advisory marketplace for business mentorship and content. Through its iOS, Android and web platforms, users could book 15- to 60-minute one-to-one or one-to-many meetings with a panel of successful 'gurus' — company founders, C-level executives, investors and world-champion athletes — to get advice on growing organizations, learning new skills and making better decisions. The company raised pre-seed funding from FJ Labs, Paco Avila, Hugo Arevalo and Felix Ruiz Hernandez.
