01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Omnidrone, founded in Barcelona in August 2013 by Digital Chocolate veterans Gerard Fernández and Elías Lozano — creators of hit titles like Millionaire City and Galaxy Life — was a mobile and tablet game studio making free-to-play midcore games. Backed by Kibo Ventures, NGP Capital, LVP and later Scopely, it raised about $2 million and launched titles including Dwarfs and Dragons and the mobile MOBA Titan Brawl, growing to well over 100 employees. The studio was subsequently picked up by Scopely, becoming a Scopely studio in Barcelona.
