01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Delver was an Israeli social search engine startup. It built a search engine that prioritized web results - blogs, photos, videos, articles and reviews - based on the searcher's social network and community, ranking results by the relationship between the searcher and the documents. The concept debuted at DEMO'08 and the public version launched in July 2008, later integrating with Yahoo!'s BOSS search framework. Founded by Liad Agmon, Avital Yachin and Sagie Davidovitch, the company was backed by Carmel Ventures with $4 million.
