01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
The Social Radio was a Buenos Aires startup founded in 2011 by Roberto Gluck, Alejandra Negrete, Demian Renzulli and Facundo Arena. It turned Twitter streams into an audio experience: linking your account via OAuth, the app read your timeline, lists, trending topics and searches aloud with alternating male and female voices and multi-language support, beautifully mixed with your own music. A Start-Up Chile winner incorporated in Delaware, it shipped Android, iPhone, web and Chrome apps and raised $415K in seed funding from NXTP Ventures, Start-Up Chile and Enzyme Venture Capital.
