01 / WHAT IT BUILT

What the company did

Cognitiwe was an Estonian computer vision startup founded in 2021 by Attila Algan and Mete Bayrak, headquartered in Tallinn with offices in Istanbul and Milan. Its predictive Vision AI platform turned video and images into data for retail and manufacturing: fresh produce freshness monitoring, shelf stock and planogram analysis, fraud detection, in-line quality control, and stock management. Flagship product Wefresh served retailers such as Migros and MAF Carrefour, and manufacturing clients like Tofas and Borusan Mannesmann; the company served about 30 customers across four continents and partnered with Microsoft.
