01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Ready Player Me was an Estonian cross-game avatar platform founded in 2014 in Tallinn (originally Wolfprint 3D, later Wolf3D) by Timmu Tõke, Kaspar Tiri, Rainer Selvet and Haver Järveoja. Its developer platform let players create a single 3D persona — from a selfie or in the avatar creator — and carry it across games and virtual worlds, with Unity, Unreal and web SDKs used by thousands of developers. The company raised $72 million from Andreessen Horowitz, Plural, Konvoy and angels including the co-founders of Roblox, Twitch and King.
