What the company did

Dine In (Dinein) was a Chennai-based online food delivery startup founded in 2012 by Vinit Chordia and backed by Mithun Sacheti, the founder of CaratLane. It partnered with more than 250 restaurants in Chennai for food delivery, handling over 6,000 orders a month. The company was later acquired by Chennai hyperlocal delivery startup Genie in an all-stock deal covering the Dinein brand, its 25-member team, delivery team, restaurant partner contracts, technology and call-centre business.
