What the company did
NannyML was a Belgian machine-learning monitoring startup founded in 2020 in Leuven by Hakim Elakhrass (CEO), Wiljan Coles and Wojtek Koperski. Its open-source software bridges the gap between business and AI in production — monitoring decisions made by ML systems, detecting data and concept drift, estimating performance loss and surfacing insights to business stakeholders. In October 2020 it raised a €1.06 million pre-seed round led by Volta Ventures with Lunar Ventures and angels including the co-founders of Collibra and DataCamp; clients included AWS, Pinterest, Walmart, UBS, Euroclear, TUI and DeepMind. In June 2025 Brussels-based data-observability platform Soda acquired NannyML.
