01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Knoow was a real-time, location-based search and service engine ('Ask Someone There') with a mobile app that let users ask questions and request favors from other users already at places they wanted to go - e.g. 'How long is the wait at this nightclub?' or 'Can you put my name down at this restaurant?' Users at the location could answer and get paid. It was founded by Jonah Travis (Columbia Business School) and Samuel Collins (Columbia College), and raised a $550,000 pre-seed round led by Techstars in November 2021.
