01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
farm-ng was a Watsonville, California agtech startup founded in 2020 by Ethan Rublee. It built the Amiga — lightweight, modular electric robots that performed a range of farm tasks, from soil preparation and planting to harvesting in crops from lettuce to grapes — targeted at small and medium-sized farming operations. On July 24, 2025, San Jose-based Bonsai Robotics (a vision-based autonomy software company founded in 2022) acquired farm-ng to combine its AI software with farm-ng's customizable robotic hardware platform; Bonsai later launched an Amiga vehicle lineup (Amiga Flex, Trax, Max) on the acquired platform.
