Beloit Kombucha Company (BK & Co.) is a Beloit, Wisconsin-based beverage startup founded by Joshua Sizemore, a beverage-industry veteran on his fifth startup. It sells a patented powdered kombucha mix in single-serve powder sticks: low in calories and sugar, packed with the clinically-backed probiotic BC30, and designed to deliver the fermented-drink benefits of traditional kombucha without the taste Sizemore found off-putting. The product was developed by a third party and adopted by investors before Sizemore joined to lead it. In August 2023 the company raised an $800,000 seed round led by Grey Collar Ventures with Battle Born Venture and gener8tor participating, to expand production, add flavors and step up marketing.
