The Blogging Manifesto
The business, the turning points, and the decisions behind them.
01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
The Blogging Manifesto was a blog-and-eBook venture by pro blogger Ryan Biddulph, launched in 2015 to help struggling bloggers with their blogging problems. Biddulph published daily video posts and articles addressing common blogging issues, each linking to his eBook via a call to action, and promoted it across Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, Triberr and YouTube — generating over 1,000 page visits a day.
02 / The Blogging Manifesto FAILURE REASONS
Failure reasons
The venture failed because Biddulph had no real passion for it — he built it predominantly to make money rather than to solve a pressing problem. He obsessed over traffic and revenue instead of giving value, wrote the eBook before publishing a single blog post, kept no posting schedule, and released the eBook on an unknown platform instead of Amazon. Four months yielded just 4 eBook sales.
