01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Xueersi (学而思) is the flagship learning brand of TAL Education Group (好未来). After the July 2021 'Double Reduction' policy banned for-profit K9 subject tutoring, TAL shut its mainland K9 tutoring by December 31, 2021 and rebuilt Xueersi around enrichment learning, AI learning devices, and education technology — launching its first Xueersi learning tablet in early 2023 and the Nine Chapters (九章) large language model later that year.
