01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Kato.im was a team chat service led by CEO Andrei Soroker. In August 2014 it launched Kato Teams, a free chat platform for businesses with one-to-one and group messaging, screen sharing, video and voice messaging, and drag-and-drop file sharing, integrating with third-party services like ZenDesk and GitHub. Its differentiator was letting users view all their conversations side-by-side at the same time. The company had raised a $1.8 million Series A round.
