01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Luos was a Bordeaux-based developer-tools company founded in 2018 that built a microservices platform for edge and embedded systems. Calling itself the Docker of electronics, it offered an open-source, lightweight containerization layer that let embedded engineers link hardware components and application code into a single system image, making it easier to share, reuse and update functionality across IoT and embedded projects. The technology grew out of the Inria Flowers research team, and the company raised $1.4 million in seed funding.
