01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Flavers (launched as Cook My Grub in 2020, during the pandemic, by Shabbir Mookhtiar and Dinesh Patil) was a UK home-cooked food delivery marketplace — described as 'Etsy for food'. Home chefs cooked authentic regional dishes in their own kitchens; customers ordered via the app and meals were delivered chilled, ready to reheat. It grew to 100+ home chefs, 15+ world cuisines, and 500+ dishes, rebranded from Cook My Grub to Flavers, and pitched on Dragons' Den (Series 21, Episode 8).
