Events in the structured record
- Company founded
Arengu is founded in A Coruna, Spain by Jacobo Vidal, Sergio Regueira and Pablo Castro: a low-code/no-code tool that complements existing identity providers, letting technical and non-technical users build complex signup and onboarding processes with a visual interface, multiple touch points, data enrichment and third-party integrations.
- First institutional investment
Kfund invests in Arengu, months after meeting the co-founders, betting on its vision of a low-code complement to existing identity providers.
- Acquisition
Okta, the online identity platform, acquires Arengu for between 10 and 20 million euros; the founding team and employees join Okta's engineering team, and Arengu's service ceases operation on June 30, 2023, with users reimbursed and client data available for recovery until July 31.
