01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Lokavant (spun out of Roivant Sciences in 2020, led by Rohit Nambisan) built clinical trial intelligence technology: machine-learning models that meld historical and real-time trial data to anticipate trial risk, provide risk mitigation strategies, and predict the impact of mitigation. Its platform aggregates real-time data from disparate trial data sources, compares them against a compendium of 1,000+ historical trials to flag issues early, and gives sponsors and CROs real-time visualizations and risk alerts for data-driven decisions — with the stated mission that no clinical trial should fail due to operational error.
