01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Space Metaverse (also known as Space) was a metaverse platform, founded by Batis Samadian, that gave users tools to design their own virtual spaces for social commerce. Through a desktop app, web page, or VR headset, users could build and customize shops, galleries, music venues, hangars, and amphitheaters, display virtual goods for purchase, and browse together with avatars and spatial audio. Stripe-powered point-of-sale tools were built in, and the company positioned itself as the 'economic glue' connecting virtual worlds, courting brand partnerships for NFT galleries, virtual events, and immersive shopping.
