What the company did
Thred Technologies was a Seattle AI startup founded in 2022 by Ben Straley, the former Amazon head of global outbound marketing and deals and Starbucks VP of global digital products. It built an AI-powered NFT search and discovery platform — pitched as the 'Yelp, Tripadvisor or Zillow' of NFTs: machine learning ranked every NFT collection on Ethereum and Polygon by desirability, layered with collector and community content, so buyers could search, read and share reviews and tell 'trustworthy' collections from 'sketchy' ones. It launched in February 2023 in private beta; Crunchbase records it as closed and merged with Kigo (date undisclosed).
