What the company did
Neosec built a cloud-native API security platform that gave organizations visibility into all API activity. Using behavioral analytics on API data, it discovered APIs, assessed their risk, and provided detection and response capabilities for API attacks, including investigation and threat hunting. Founded in June 2020 by Giora Engel (CEO) and Ziv Sivan (CTO) and headquartered in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv, it raised about $20.7 million and was named a Gartner 'Cool Vendor in Application Security' in 2022. In April 2023 Akamai Technologies agreed to acquire the company, and its team of about 40 joined Akamai's Security Technology business.
