01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Edge Tradeworks (also known as Loan Transactions & Technology, or LT&T) was a Charlotte, North Carolina fintech company founded in 2016 by industry veterans John Roberts and Hughie Choe. Its cloud-based platform was an institutional-grade electronic marketplace for whole-loan trading: financial institutions such as banks and credit unions could buy and sell loans, negotiate with counterparties, and use Wall Street-level pricing analytics, custom peer comparisons, and board-level performance reports to make informed trading decisions. Since inception it provided analytics to hundreds of financial institutions and saw millions of dollars in loans traded on its platform.
