01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Liist was a New York social bookmarking startup founded in September 2019 by David Friedl and Allan Holmes (formerly at Instagram). Its app turned photos, notes and maps into shareable recommendations: it automatically imported places saved on the internet — including from TikTok and Instagram — and pinned them on a map, letting users explore places and keep their travel information in minimal, beautiful lists.
