01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Paperplane was a New York sales-productivity startup backed by Y Combinator (Winter 2022), Pioneer Fund, Bloomberg Beta, Soma Capital and Afore Capital, raising $500K on a convertible note. Its flagship product plugged into a sales team's conversational-intelligence platforms (Gong, Chorus) and Salesforce, and automatically updated Salesforce after every sales call — transcribing and extracting next steps, follow-ups, pain points and MEDDIC notes with NLP — saving reps 3-6 hours of weekly data entry. It later positioned as a credit-risk management platform for builders' merchants.
