01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Enflux made smart athletic clothing that doubles as a personal trainer. Founded by Missouri S&T alumni Doug Hoang, Elijah Schuldt, and Mickey Ferri and backed by Y Combinator's Winter 2016 class, its shirts and pants embedded tiny motion sensors that captured the 3D movement of the wearer's body during exercise; a companion smartphone app reported form quality, workout intensity, and other metrics in real time, with a 3D avatar replay for coaching.
