01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
TellFi was a Y Combinator-backed startup (TwoSixty Inc.) in San Francisco offering 'Google Voice for companies': a simple web-based virtual phone system for small businesses. Freelancers and shops got professional-sounding features — automated extensions, voicemail (with transcription), call forwarding, call scheduling and conference lines — without an IT setup. Plans cost $10–$70 per month, backed by Yuri Milner and SV Angel's Start Fund, with about 50 early customers.
