01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Cega was a Singapore-based DeFi protocol founded in 2021 by Arisa Toyosaki, offering exotic options and structured investment products to retail investors. Its vaults sold fixed-coupon notes and similar derivatives strategies that paid yield with built-in downside protection, running on Solana from June 2022 and later on Ethereum and Arbitrum. The protocol said it handled about $500 million in volume over three years. In November 2024 it announced it had been acquired by an undisclosed platform and would sunset its products by year-end.
