01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Seerslab is a South Korean augmented-reality and artificial-intelligence technology company founded in 2016 and backed by Y Combinator. Led by CEO Michael Chong, it builds AR/AI software and smart wearables: investors on record include SELVAS AI, VAIV Company and WYSIWYG Studios, and Preqin tracked growing revenue through 2020. In June 2025 Seerslab launched AInoon, a pair of AI-powered smart glasses priced at $174 on Kickstarter — a screenless, lightweight wearable giving access to large language models like ChatGPT and Google Gemini, with instant translation, object and landmark recognition, and open-ear audio. The company continues to operate and launch products.
