01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Conjura was an AI-driven e-commerce data analytics platform founded in Dublin, Ireland, in 2018 by Fran Quilty and Aidan Corbett. It built infrastructure that consolidated merchants' fragmented financial data from commerce, marketing, and operations platforms into a single view, layering AI models on top to deliver predictive insights on growth and margin performance, plus a natural language interface for querying complex datasets in plain English. At its peak it served more than 2,000 merchants and processed over 135 terabytes of data annually. In April 2022 it raised a EUR15 million Series A co-led by Act Venture Capital and MiddleGame Ventures with participation from Tribal VC. Notably, Wayflyer was originally incubated within Conjura in 2019 before becoming a standalone business.
