01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Vinehealth was a London digital-health startup founded in 2018 by Rayna Patel (CEO) and Georgina Kirby (CTO). Its app combined behavioral science and AI to deliver personalized support for cancer patients — symptom tracking, medication nudges and remote clinician monitoring — while gathering patient-reported outcome (PRO) data for drug development, clinical trials and pharma research. Since January 2020 the app had been downloaded around 15,000 times. The company raised about $8.5 million total, including a $5.5 million seed round in December 2021 led by Talis Capital with Playfair Capital, Ascension, KHP MedTech Innovations and VOYAGERS Health-Tech Fund.
